Under the general direction of the Town Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for providing accounting support for the Town’s following functional areas: accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, budget and general ledger processes. The Accounting Technician/Payroll Specialist handles payroll and reconciles payroll related records with general ledger. The Accounting Technician/Payroll Specialist will also provide secretarial and administrative support to the Town Administrator. Incumbent may deal with sensitive and confidential issues or matters that are the subject of conflict and/or disagreement thus requiring considerable judgment and tactfulness. Work requires limited supervision and the use of independent judgment and discretion.
